Brittany Marie (also known as, Britt, Brittany, Brituney - thanks mother) but what's in a name?!

Brittany Marie has a deep and profound love for sports and started her career as a D1 athlete. Yoga found Brittany Marie after many injuries and two major surgeries relating to her hip and ankle. From there she found an appreciation and love of the yoga practice. After her two major surgeries and being told she would never be able to partake in athletics again, she knew she had to find another way. Yoga.  From the start, she rehabilitated herself through the yogic philosophies and found her way back to the field and has even started to compete in Triathlons. She is inspired to help everyone through the yogic philosophies and is a firm believer that everything is possible. "Yoga is not only a method to heal the body but it can heal the mind." "I've seen it work in myself and so many others and I'm beyond honored to have the ability to share the gift of Yoga with others."

Throughout the past year, Brittany Marie has been seeking knowledge from many of our industry's leaders. She has trained with The Center for Mind-Body Medicine, Yoga of Recovery, Kula for Karma, Prison Yoga Project, Yoga Gangsters, lived at the Sivananda Ashram to receive her fundamental training certificate along with her Ayurvedic Wellness & Lifestyle Counselor certificate, and completed a 3 month Karma Yoga residential study.

Brittany Marie's power comes from her core strength, passion, healing touch, and giving back to others in need.  The act of selfless giving has inspired Brittany Marie throughout her life. With volunteering being her passion, Brittany Marie has helped rebuild playgrounds with JetBlue/KABOOM after Hurricane Sandy. Trained seeing-impaired and handicapped athletes, to achieve their fitness goals and compete in competition such as the NYC Marathon. She was also a board founder of the Manhattan Gaels, the first GAA club based in Manhattan.

Last June, Brittany Marie ventured across the U.S., cycling over 5,200 miles on a bike to raise money and awareness for incarcerated men, women and children, who have been affected by trauma.

Brittany Marie is an Energy Healer, Ayurvedic Wellness & Lifestyle Counselor and, a 200RYT Yoga Instructor who specializes in Yin, Vinyasa and Trauma Sensitive yoga.
